Check whether a control image already exists, then lower Acceptable change allowed. The first successful Snapshot stores the current look as the control and passes. Later Runs only fail when the change is larger than your threshold.
- Open the Element Snapshot Test Step. Confirm Mode is Element or Page for the UI that changed.
- If Mode is Element, confirm the Element targets the region that changed.
- Set Acceptable change allowed to 0% (or lower than the change you expect) and run again.
- On the Run result, open the Snapshot step. Look for a message that a control was stored for the first time, or review Control, Actual, and the comparison views.
- If you recently changed the Flow, Open URL, or browser Variant, a new control may have been created. Run once more after that control exists.
- Check advanced Excluded elements. Remove exclusions that cover the area that changed.
- To keep one baseline while you edit the Flow, set Generate new control image after testcase changes to No and set a Control key.
If the Snapshot still passes when the page has clearly changed, open Help in DoesQA and select Create new ticket. Include the Run ID.
